ARCHITEXAS – Architecture, Planning and Historic Preservation, Inc. is a mid-size architectural firm with offices in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio that provides architecture, planning and urban design services, and is recognized nationally for award-winning preservation projects.
ARCHITEXAS Austin is seeking a full-time Project Architect beginning immediately, with the following qualifications:
Professional degree in architecture required; advanced degree or graduate level studies in historic preservation preferred and or 3 years minimum working experience with existing buildings and adaptive reuse.
Licensed architect or working toward licensure within 2-3 years.
5 – 7 years experience working in an architectural firm.
Proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD 2015 or higher for drawing and drafting is required.
Competence in Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), MS Office and MS Project is a plus.
Experience in field measuring and accurately converting measured drawings into CAD or Revit models is required.
Ability to manage small to medium size architectural projects including coordination of consultants, preparation of design and construction documents including specifications, bidding, and construction administration.
Conscientious, detail oriented, desire to take on responsibility.
Excellent writing/communication skills; ability to prepare historic structure reports, condition assessments, and similar technical reports making treatment recommendations required.
Must be willing to attend site visits. Some travel out of town will occasionally be required.
